Glass Candy

Ingredients

3 3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 c corn syrup
1 c water
1 tsp candy oil
several drops food coloring
powdered sugar

Directions

Mix first three ingredients until dissolved in large saucepan.  Boil without stirring until temp reaches 310 or until drops of syrup form a hard brittle threads in cold water.   Remove from heat quickly; stir in flavor oil and coloring.  Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet, dusted with powdered sugar, if desired. Cool; break int o pieces; store in air-tight containers.
