Best Smoked Burgers



  • Make thick patties - thick enough to use the temperature probe
  • Season both sides of the patties with
    •  salt
    • pepper
    • onion powder
    • garlic powder
  • Leave out of refrigerator for 30 minutes to bring to room temperature
  • Turn on smoker to ~225 degrees and wait for white smoke to appear.
  • Smoke for 30 minutes
  • Increase heat to “high” (~350) until temperature probe says 160 degrees
  • Add cheese
  • Remove from smoker when cheese is melted
